OBAIOTA is the recognized professional body representing Occupational Therapists across the State of Odisha. For over 25 years, OBAIOTA has been working to promote, regulate, and advance the practice of Occupational Therapy in the state serving the community through preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care while upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and education.
The Odisha Branch of All India Occupational Therapists' Association (OBAIOTA) is the official State level representative body of All India Occupational Therapist Association(AIOTA), Mumbai. OBAIOTA operates within the territorial limits of the State of Odisha and works to strengthen the profession of Occupational Therapy through education, ethics, research, and community service.
OBAIOTA functions as an advisory body to the Government of Odisha and to other governmental and non-governmental organizations that require technical guidance in establishing OT councils, education centres, departments, and rehabilitation units.
OBAIOTA has been serving the people of Odisha and the Occupational Therapy profession for over 25 years, growing from a small group of dedicated professionals into the recognized voice of Occupational Therapy in the state.
Built a strong community of Life Members and Student Members across Odisha.
Published the Odisha Occupational Therapy News Letter, released quarterly.
Organized outreach programs for PwDs, workshops and COTE programs, seminar.
Worked toward affiliation of eligible Occupational Therapy clinics in Odisha.
Collaborated with national,AIOTA and international bodies, including the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
Promoting the use of Occupational Therapy across Odisha.
Maintaining standards of education and training in Occupational Therapy.
